A great team starts with a great look

In collaboration with two other students and the design agency The Valley we created a prototype for the new website of Nike Team. Nike Team is the division of Nike that focusses on selling team kits to sport clubs. Previously mainly working with print magazines they would send out to sport clubs, they decided that this model was outdated and needed to be brought to digital to make it easier for sportclubs to browse and buy these kits.

The Guiding Principles

To keep our focus on the goals that our design had to achieve we wrote down four 'Design Principles'. These are the main functions that the design has to facilitate.

Sketches

To get an idea of what our own rough ideas were of what the website was going to look like, we decided to separately draw out some wireframes. After doing this we showed each other the sketches and started to combine the best ideas into one sketch.

Low Fidelity Wireframes

Before designing the prototype itself we made low fidelity wireframes to test out the basic layout and interaction design.

Testing

After testing out the basic structure of the App we made and tested out a high fidelity version of the website with some other people. After testing some small changes were made, such as more clearly highlighting main buttons and some copy.
